We are open every day from 8am for breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between.
The best recipes from Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire feature in an afternoon tea with a local twist, launched by Kirkby Lonsdale’s The Royal Hotel this spring.
Lancashire curd tart, Yorkshire rhubarb turnover and Cumberland sausage rolls are just some of the specialities featured in the ‘Three Counties’ afternoon tea, devised by the hotel to celebrate its geographical location right on the borders of the trio of regions.
Said The Royal’s general manager, Damian Atkins: “Here in Kirkby Lonsdale we can truly be inspired by the dishes found in Cumbria, Lancashire and North Yorkshire as, although we’re actually in Cumbria, the county boundaries are within a couple of miles of the hotel.
“There are so many regional recipes to choose from, our chefs are taking inspiration for sweet and savoury delicacies from a selection of delicious local traditions.
“The fact we are on the cusp of three of the country’s most scenic counties isn’t just an added culinary bonus for our guests but also puts them on the doorstep of a host of amazing places to see during their stay.”
The Three Counties afternoon tea costs £27 for two or £13.50 if you’re going solo.
