It is the perfect accompaniment to any Sunday roast! Who doesn't love a Yorkshire pudding?
Well here at the Royal Hotel this coming Sunday 31st July to celebrate the expansion of the Yorkshire Dales by almost a quarter will be dishing up our Yorkshire puddings 25% bigger.
The national park boundary will move within strolling distance of our hotel, on Yorkshire Day, August 1st 2016 when the park increases in size.
To mark this fabulous occasion, our very own chefs at The Royal will make our Yorkshires around 25% larger than normal on our Sunday roasts!
Said hotel general manager Damian Atkins: "Our Yorkshire puddings are a favourite element of our locally legendary Sunday roasts so we thought we would give diners even more of what they love to mark the expansion of the national park."
The boundary change means nearby Barbon, Middleton, Casterton and Leck Fells will become part of the national park.
Damian added: "The Yorkshire Dales is a very special area and we are delighted that the national park is now going to include this stunning Barbon, Middleton, Casterton and Leck Fells, which we can see from the Royal. These amazing landscapes are such a fantastic area to explore as well as being utterly beautiful."
The Yorkshire Dales National Park is set to increase in size by almost 24 percent and will include some areas which are in Lancashire and Cumbria. The Lake District National Park is increasing by three percent to take in Birbeck Fells Common, Bretherdale and Borrowdale, Whinell and Grayrigg, and Helsington Barrows to Sizergh Fell.
