Shop till you drop in Lancaster!
With the weather changing from one day to the next, why not treat yourself to a shopping trip in the historic city of Lancaster? With a wide range of shops in both the Market Gate and St. Nicholas arcade you’re sure to grab yourself a bargain!
Lancaster city centre is only 15 miles from the Royal Hotel in Kirkby Lonsdale, and makes for a great day out, whether shopping or sightseeing.
The last weekend of half term is here and we don’t want you to waste it just because the weather is a bit hit and miss! So why not choose to visit a destination over the weekend that can cater to both rain and sunshine? Visit Ambleside for it’s attractions and shops as well as Lake Windermere and the surrounding mountains to ensure your covered, whatever the weather!
Ambleside, at the head of Windermere and the foot of the Kirkstone Pass, is in the very heart of the Lake District with easy access to Grasmere, Keswick, Windermere and the Langdales.
The Royal Hotel is located only a 35 minute drive away so whilst you’re paying a visit to Ambleside pop up and sample our afternoon tea from our In Between Times menu or treat yourself to a meal in our brasserie.
With the weather turning decidedly chilly over the last few days and with no sign that it’s going to let up anytime soon…we think its time to head indoors to the warmth and partake in a spot of shopping in Lancaster. January has been a long month so its time to treat yourself!
